| Title | Ukrai'ns'kyj ikonopys: poetychnyj reportazh 2014–2025 rokiv |
| Description | Dmitry Strotsev is a Belarusian poet born in Minsk. The author of 25 poetry collections, he responded to the events of the Maidan and the Russo-Ukrainian War with all the passion of a subtle lyric poet and religious philosopher. His poems have been translated into more than twenty languages. He is a recipient of literary awards from the Václav Havel Library Foundation, the Norwegian Writers’ Union, and the Swedish PEN Club’s Kurt Tucholsky Prize. Strotsev knows violence and the loss of freedom from personal experience: because of his political opposition to Alexander Lukashenko’s regime, he was imprisoned in Belarus and later forced to leave the country.
This is the poet’s second book published in Ukrainian. It contains translations of poems addressed to Ukraine and written between 2014 and 2025 in Strotsev’s distinctive genre of poetic reportage. |
