| Description | Mulle Meck Makes an Airplane is the third book in the Mulle Meck series. Mulle and his dog, Buffa, have been traveling the world for a long time – first by car, then by boat. They finally arrive at an unfamiliar rocky shore, where they stumble upon an abandoned bicycle repair shop. All around are various bits of iron, rusty bolts, and other junk. Mulle cannot pass by such a treasure! He and Buffa pondered and decided to build an airplane to get home faster.
The Mulle Meck series is a classic in modern Swedish children's literature. It is aimed primarily at the youngest readers, who are taking their first steps in exploring technology, are interested in how different mechanisms work and are eager to know how things work. The stories about Master Mulle and his dog Buffa have been incredibly popular in Scandinavia for two decades now, and Mulle himself is loved no less than the famous heroes of Astrid Lindgren's fairy tales – for his ingenuity and unfailing optimism. |
